Just gather up all the stuff you want to hide from your wife and keep it at your girlfriend's house.

NICE! I will confess I never knew that either. You know I am now going to go outside to look for it right?

Woa. what else don't I know about this thing? ... a lot. [X(]

It's going to be cool, putting a drink in there and being able to shift comfortably.

I noticed this false bottom the very first time I got in the car and I was looking for a place to put my change.

As a non-smoker however, it took me two months before I suddenly realized the car has no cigarette lighter and no ashtrays. In fact the manual makes some reference to a 2nd aux power connector in the center console.. I can't find it.

Am I crazy or what? Wasn't there a lighter in the power point on the dash? I use it for my XM but I am sure that I had to pull the lighter out. Also, I have this little cup looking thing with a lid that sits in the first cup holder. I thought that was the ashtray. I don't smoke so I really didn't pay close attention... I just assumed it was the ashtray. Actually, I think I put the lighter in it. I may just go out in the garage and check it out. I didn't know about the false bottom. I'll have to check that out too.

Nope, there is just a plastic cover over the outlet. The cup holders are also just cupholders, they (should not!) do not serve as ashtrays.

Your dealer must've installed the smoker's accessory package in your 'stang. You can't order it from the factory, but you can buy the "kit" from Ford.

There is an ashtray in mine too. I mess with it when I'm driving. I use it for loose change. There also is a lighter above the radio. I didn't know about the false bottom cup holder, but I checked it out after I read this post. I couldn't find the truck release either but now I know that I am looking for nothing...cause there isn't one.

RedHot,
You know, your change wouldn't be loose if you put it in the change slots inside the center console But you're right and mine goes in the ashtray too, since its much quicker than sorting. Still trying to get rid of the cig lighter thats flopping around now that I've removed it (dealer wouldn't even buy back the smokers package when I didn't want it!) and installed my EJECT button.

EJECT button??? That's where I got my Missile Launch Button. It's pretty fun to press during rush hour. Everyone gets out of way. Eject button is hook up to the high beam lever, second detent.
