There is no such thing as "the best x-pipe"
There are all just that...a pipe...

What determines the price would be the diameter of the piping and the material it's made of...

Most of the x-pipes you'll find will need some slight modification or cutting to fit to the stock exhaust piping.
What the x-pipe will do for you vs. an h-pipe, is give you less restrictive airflow but will most likely cause more drone.

So the questions that needs asked right now is:
What setup are you running from the headers to the mufflers?
Stock or aftermarket?
If aftermarket, what size tubing are you running?

I have pypes o/r x pipe. It really woke the car up and it didn't require any cutting. If you order any exhaust and it requires cutting I would say don't get it.

Don't people usually pair H pipes with chambered mufflers and an X with straight through mufflers?

Something about sound, drone, yadda yadda. Someone more versed than me will hopefully chime in here.

Of course, don't listen to any of the above, I ignored it myself and put an H pipe on straight throughs.

For the 3v 4.6 I only have experience with the straight threws. But on my 2002 gt I had a h pipe with magnaflows chambered and they drowned like crazy then I had some slp lm1s and they were worse. But with this car I have had zero drone even with the o/r x pipe and cams.

I've got long tubes, x pipe, and glassbacks, and there's a drone. It's nothing bad, it's able to be lived with.

If you're getting an xpipe, get a matching brand header at the least. And go with BBK.

I really like my off road ProChamber set up. 5.0 mag did a dyno comparison with their long tubes and ProcChamber and gave the highest gains on their boosted test car.

This is the x-pipe I installed on my 3V GT and it worked and sounded great!

There's two ways you can go with this.. If you decide to get LT headers after buying a midpipe, it'll be a waste of money because you'll need the "shorty" midpipe that matches the brand.

If you don't want LT headers at all, I'd go with bassani.

BTW I have LT's, catted X, and Corsa muffs... No drone hehee.
