im about to buy a 2005 mustang GT, the only problem is that it has a custom Airaid CIA and it creates to much cabin noise. does anyone know where i can find a stock intake in ontario.

Assuming that CAI does not also have a custom tune to compliment it, you should have no issues once you FIND a stock airbox. However, if the car has a custom tune for the CAI and you install the stock airbox, you'll likely throw a code and the car won't run right.

I don't know of any CAI's, even tune-REQUIRED CAI's, that cause significant cabin noise, though.

I believe you need to pull the strategy code which would require that you HAVE a handheld unit. If you know the previous owner, you could try checking with him/her/it.

Stand alone CAI's only gain about 3-5 RWHP. CAI & custom tune yields 20-25 RWHP.

Don't let the CAI be the reason you pass on the car. If everything else looks good, then you can deal with the CAI later. It's fixable.
