Default Amsoil difference?

Hey guys ive had my car in the garage for the winter and before i bring it out i wanted to change the oil. I used this brand of amsoil last time http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...ont%2Fatm.aspx
My wife tried to surprise me with an early Easter gift but she bought this http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...tic-motor-oil/
My question is will it be safe to use with my setup? I have a coyote 5.0 paxton supercharged. Im sure there are a lot of different opinions but I just wanted to check before I did or attempt to send it back. Thanks for the help in advanced.

I might **** a few people off with this, but Amsoil is severely overpriced oil that doesn't provide anything over what Mobil 1 can provide. Save your money. Mobil 1 full synthetic has been shown to last over 10,000 miles in high hp engines and remains well within the range of acceptable viscosity levels. If it weren't for the contaminates, I don't have any doubt it would last up to 15-20k miles of hard driving.

Both Amsoil's are mixable with no ill effect. Although I'm curious; does the OM for the 5.0 call for 10W30? I assumed that all of the Ford 4.6L and 5.0's called for 5Wxx but I could be wrong. And I also can't speak on SC'd 5.0's.

I used to run Amsoil 5W20 in my 4.6L at 10k mile change intervals with the Amsoil Ea filter before I dropped to putting only about 5k miles per year on the car.

Yea amsoil is expensive but it's what I use. I do believe that it calls for 5W but I have seen some people on the forums using 10W and having good results too so I decided to try it too.

why wouldn't it be "safe" to use in your car? probably the only difference is a slightly different additive package.

people really love to over-think this motor oil thing.

What this guy said. Modern synthetic oils are amazing. No need to add all of the stuff anymore or get anything fancy.

i put mobile 1 10w30 in my turboed hatch and its great but its a 95. im more worried just about the fact its supercharged and a newer car. if i had a NA mustang then hell yea i would throw in any syn oil but since its pushing over 600 hp i chose to spend more on oils.

I usually do my own oil changes but going to let my dealer do the first 2 since its free then after that I'll probably go with Royal Purple.
