Default Sprint Booster question

Hey guys, so I was watching some show on TV and they talked about and installed a Sprint Booster into a Challenger. Sprint Booster is something for drive by wire cars that takes the lag that you get from a drive by wire. Here is a link of a video that talks about it and then a link to where you can get it.

Now my question is, does the do essentially the same thing that a tune would do without getting any of the power gains that you would get from a tune? or would this go well with a tune. like would this get rid of the lag, but the tune would do the shift points and all that stuff? I have to replace the steering rack in my car and then after that I plan on going mod crazy. I saw this and it looks like a great product, but if a tune will do the exact same thing for about the same price and do more then this wouldn't really be worth it. But if this is something that even a tune won't really fix than I can see this working well with a tune.

I take it you don't have a tune.... I have 0 lag.

Nope, I've only had mine for about a 2 months. I had planned on starting mods but then my steering rack started to mess up so that gets priority lol. This is the first car I have really been able to mod since there is actually a market out there. So I'm still learning, I figured a tune would do the same thing but I wanted to make sure.
