Fuel Tube Line Shield Installation

Fuel Tube Line Shield Installation
Hi everybody,
I'm new to the forums, just picked up a 2014 Mustang GT. Last week I ran over something and scratched up one of the shrouds underneath the car. This shroud runs along the driver's side of the car and is designed to protect the fuel and brake lines, the official part name is "fuel tube line shield".
Being that the car is brand new I was wanting to replace this scratched-up shroud. I ordered a new one from Ford and was attempting to install it earlier today, but I ran into an issue. It looks like the front end of this shroud runs underneath the subframe. Does the subframe need to be lowered for the installation of this shroud? And if so, what would be the best approach to do this?
I really appreciate all of your help, and thanks for taking the time to read this.

It's under the car and not painted right? I wouldn't bother with it. Yes, the front part of it is sandwiched in the subframe. When you change your fuel filter, you drop the rear part of the shroud and leave the front half attached. Never took the whole thing off but I wouldn't simply for the fact it may create a bigger problem than just a scratched shroud that no-one will see.
