Default power steering/road racing

Every time I have a track day with my 2008 mustang gt, I lose power steering and once had to have the power steering pump replaced under factory warranty. My mechanic said that it is because the power steering pump can't keep up with the high rpm of road racing. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what they have done to fix it. I don't want to delete the power steering. thanks for any help.

I had the genius idea of somehow retrofitting the 2011 and up electric power steering to my car but that seems very expensive after research. It is built into the power steering rack and has a ton of sensors for speed, steering angle, braking, etc. I'm not sure exactly how power steering works, so iam unsure if just adding a cooler will fix my problem.

It's hydraulic assisted steering basically instead of a manual rack and pinion which is just a set of gears connected to the steering column. If you put a cooler in line it will help keep the system cool.
