Question Oppinions Needed.

Yet another flaw and problem with my '14 Shelby. I’ve never paid this much money for a car and had this many problems…. :/

So the other day I’m hand washing my car.... like I always do and I notice that on the top part of my bumper right below the passenger fender my paint is starting to peel off. I took it to the dealer and ford recommends pulling the whole bumper off and re-painting and re-striping the bumper. Also the service manager recommends the same however he states that there paint touch up guy is really good and it should be able to be touched up and repaired.

Any opinions on what you guys would do? Personally I think if it can be touched up and the work is guaranteed the less most intrusive method should be tried first. I can’t see going a few days without a car and going all that labor? However, having it fixed right and not having any issues with it down the road is also important. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Don't allow a touch up on a brand new car. have them prep and respray the whole bumper.

This bumper was most likely repaired before you got it, ask to see the pdi and forward work orders

Didn't you post earlier about having trouble with the racing stripe? Did they fix that and damage the bumper at the same time?

If there was minor bumper damage noticed at the PDI or pre delivery inspection the dealer would fix it the cheapest possible way, spot paint probably, which will almost always peel in time.
