it's a chip.
The axle has a center drill in the end for manufacturing purposes and in a machine shop, metal chips can end up anywhere.
one got wedged in the pilot of the center drill hole and remained throughout the rest of the assembly process.
Pluck it out and be on your way. Or not.

Yep, left over machining shard. Needle nose pliers will pluck it out. It won't hurt anything if you left it in there.

On the Window Tint, make sure to look at discussion about Moleskin. I'm on my second set of tinted windows. Next time Moleskin for sure!

Plasti-dip in between the lug nut seat and the lug nut taper in the wheel
is a big no-no.
The lug nuts will not stay tight without full metal to aluminum contact.

Try putting a nickel in the lug nut opening BEFORE spraying the rims.
Then remove it while the plasti-dip is still tacky/wet. You will be left
with clean lug nut tapers in the wheel, no plasti-dip tearing and the
lug nuts will stay tight...

I have a few wheel plasti-dip painting sessions under my belt...

That only applied to the 05/06 model years. 07+ Ford fixed the problem. For 05/06 you could use moleskin or use the updated part number for the window molding.
