Default Ambient lighting question...

My 2012 came with the ambient lighting option (love it). Anyhow, I recently noticed that all footwells in my car light up except for the front passenger side. Doesn't seem normal that only that side wouldn't light up. Any one else experience this? TIA

My money is on one of the bulbs going on, assuming you haven't been messing with any wires recently.

And I love this feature way more than I should!

Lighting/electrical is something I don't mess with. I'm gonna go with what cruisin5268d said, possibly just a burned out bulb. Any one know the size of these things? Is it something I can do myself or do I need to go to the dealership for this?

dealership. It's a small module with an RGB LED triad, which is how you can change colors.

I'm guessing you are out of warranty for this - but it should be a relatively cheap part. These aren't how powered LEDs or anything like that.

Yup, out of warranty. It doesn't bother me enough to make me want to get in there and try to fix it myself. Maybe later when temps warm up again I'll give it a shot.

quick question- do any of the colors work? if not, the thing might have come unplugged. I'll poke around my car tomorrow and see where the LED module is.

That's a good thought!

To the OP: There's no way I could wait for warmer weather to fix that - just knowing one of them wasn't working would drive me crazy. But, that's just me.

I cycled through all the colors; turned the ambient lighting on and off and that area remains off. I don't even know where to start looking for the where the problem might be.
