Default Borla Exhaust

I am really really thinking of purchasing this exhaust http://www.lmperformance.com/5493/73.html .... tonight.... but before I do any buying I want to know from the people that have them (cat back or axle back) how they sound. Is it worth going with the cat back or is the axle back just as good?

Borla on my V6.
Not too loud. Very mellow and sounds nothing like the ricers! Sounds great in my opinion.

Little too high pitch at first, but 200 miles on it since install and it is sounding wonderful now!!!!

I had bought the catback system but only had time to install the mufflers on saturday. The sound is incredible, much better than stock but i guess it better be. I dont know if there would be any difference between having installed the full kit or not. I had a pretty big smile on my face when i turned the key for the first time after the install. Very happy with it.

bmhatfi, Just wait a few days and watch that smile get bigger
There is a drone around 2500 for the first few days that gets annoying fast..but then it stops as the muffler breaks in. You will love it more as the time goes on

Thanks, thats really good to know that it gets better. Its a bad rpm to have a drone at because the car cruises right around the 2000-2500 rpm range most of the time. It seems like alot of the aftermarket exhausts seem to have a drone though right around the same rpm range. Andyman, did you buy the sportlines yet? If so where did you get them at?

thanks,

I ordered the sportlines but they sent me springs for the wrong year, now I can't get a hold of anyone to return them.
