no it isn't. it originally covered 2005-2008 Mustangs, then was expanded to cover all 2005-2014 Mustangs. If your 2006 was taken care of earlier this year then you should be OK. If not, you'll want to check your VIN and see if it has to be looked at again; some of the cars (mostly Hondas) which were "repaired" in the last few years will need to have their inflators replaced again.

The recall discussed in this thread is for 2005-2014 MY Ford Mustangs produced from April 6, 2004 through June 21, 2014. It was issued May 27, 2015.

Its the same recall just expanded as jz78817 said. Takata and the nhtsa keep adding cars to the affected list. Honda added roughly 6 million more a couple months ago but the repair is still the same and it was when the recall first came out, replace the inflator with a new one.

It wouldnt surprise me if even more are added through out the year or next.

Excerpt from NHTSA letter to Ford Motor Company dated May 28, 2015:

"...vehicles that have had their driver side frontal air bag replaced previously as part of a recall remedy need to have their air bag replaced under this recall as well."

yes, and? If you just want us all to tell you you're right, then say so.

I will call my local Ford dealer tomorrow and see if they will give me an appointment. Thank you guys. Oh, and I will post here if they say I need a new one or not.

Ok so I called them up and they said if I had the recall done earlier this year I did not need to have it done again! Sorry it took me so long I got busy and forgot. :/
