Default Dirty Throttle Body? Idle / stalling issues

Thinking my throttle body may be dirty. Motor runs fine throw the gears but idle dips real low and sometimes stalls when stopped. (Clutch pushed in) Hoping cleaning the throttle body will solve problem. Anyone have this issue? Also heard that certain solvents can damage the protective coating....so need to find the right cleaner...

This issue has been experienced by many, including myself. You're on the right track cleaning the throttle body. I used CRC Throttle Body & Air Intake Cleaner which is safe for coated throttle bodies.

Thanks bro.... gonna go get some now! Autozone carry it? Do I need to pull the throttle body off? Or can you just spray that stuff in there.

It's probably a good idea to make the cleaning of the throttle body a routine item at each service interval.

If you don't have a catch can get one. I installed one on my 05, and I could not believe the amount of oil it catches and keeps out of the intake.

I have breather filters on both valve covers and clean them every 6 months.
The passenger side PCV port on the CAI pipe and the driver's side PCV port on the intake manifold are capped off so no oil vapors can enter the intake system.
