Is the 4 gauge instrument cluster interchangeable for a deluxe 2005 to 2009 mustang gt?

Yes it is. I swapped my original 4-gauge cluster for a 6-gauge cluster with MyColor last year. Take a look halfway down this page:

Very nice Dino. How difficult was the swap? What years are compatible? I have an 06 GT with just a 4 gauge cluster. Would love to add the my color option in there with the 6 gauge setup.

I have a 6 gauge cluster sitting on a shelf right now, but can't find anyone to change the mileage it. That's the only thing that's preventing me from swapping them out.

Who did you go through to get that done Dino? Would love to finally get mine installed.

Any '05-'09 GT cluster would be compatible. The actual swap is really easy and it took me less than 20 minutes to complete. Since the mileage on the '05 cluster that I used was a mere 6000 miles less than that on my original cluster, I chose not to have it changed.
If you do want your new cluster to be reprogrammed with the mileage from the old cluster, it'll require a visit to the stealership.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. The cluster is around 60k, and my car is almost at 115k.

I've been to a couple of dealerships, and they keep saying that they can't do it/the haven't even heard of anything like that. Going to keep trying though.

It also depends what your V6 doesn't have that is standard in a GT; if you do not have ABS or TCS, the cluster will need to be reprogrammed with the "as-built" data for your car. Otherwise you'll get ABS/brake errors and/or a TCS error light.

At least the clusters easily interchange mechanically!

Default My Color Guage

I did this mod several years ago. I bought a 6 gauge My Color pod from Ed Olson from Y2K Ford in Seattle WA. Give them a call, and see if they still sell new My Color Dash pods. I had to give them the miles on my car which at the time was just about 1200 miles back in 2007. Easy mod to do and still works like a champ today. It cost me somewhere in the $300.00 to $400.00 range, believe I had to send my old gauge pod back. I also believe I had to change out the 3 button panel in the center to be able to adjust the colors.

Sent mine to Powl's speedometer in Lancaster Pa. to put the correct mileage on the cluster. This is where my dealer sends the clusters to have work done
