You got a Cig adapter in yer armrest?

do u have an 06?

Because im pretty sure that my dad's 05 doesnt have that :-/

and he has everything you could have gotten as an 05 cept the automatic

Because im pretty sure that my dad's 05 doesnt have that :-/

and he has everything you could have gotten as an 05 cept the automatic
i have no idea what the he?? you are talking about; all new S197's have a powerpoint in the armrest; i have an 05; and the ipod charges on the line from the aux - you do not use the power adapter.

Yeah I do have an 06, but Ive heard all years have this, just most of the 05 people didnt realize they did.

I used the PIE adapter too and it works great. I have it hidden behind the dash and hooked up a 3.5mm plug in the dash to the right of the radio(see pic). I can plug in ANYTHING that has a headphone output.

Just burn mp3 cds. You fit alot on one cd. I hate ipods

chrismakk69, if you're getting an '07 there IS an aux jack in the console storage. This is a new feature for '07.

I saw a thread over on the Brad Barnett forum for a new plug-and-play iPod setup. Apparently you just unplug the wiring from the back of the stereo and plug it into this adaptor, then plug the adaptor into your stereo. Then you can run the wire from the adaptor to anyplace you want to mount the iPod (inside glovebox, etc.) The adaptor allows your iPod to be fully controlled from the stereo. I'll see if I can find the link...
