I have a 2011 Mustang Gt with 6spd manual Trans that has 68kmiles,Lateley when i try to downshift from 6th to 5th the trans makes a grinding sound before eventually going into 5th gear, has anyone else had this problem?

 

At what speed, or rpm in 6th?

Are you at least trying to rev-match?

i have seen several 6 speeds that have needed syncros, cheapest bidder is my guess. but abuse can cause this as well. stop forcing it, and get it repaired.

 

Nope, and the reason is that my tranny has only five gears.
The MT82 6-speed tranny has a reputation for being problematic and it does sound like your 5th gear synchro may be worn.
