Default Prep for engine install..

Hey guys,
I'm finally getting ready to get the motor replaced in my 2006 v6. I was looking at stuff to have replaced on the 76k used engine. So far I'm looking to do the water pump, thermostat housing & timing chain. Anybody think of anything else that's not included below, or a different recommendation for the same gear?

Thermostat housing makes sense, but with only 76,000 why do you think you need to replace the timing chains?

Just want to minimize the work needed down the road. You think I should skip it and just do the housing & water pump?

It probably won't be bad at that mileage but if your already in there it's not a bad idea. The timing sets are fairly cheap so I say go for it while it's out. It's not hard to do in the car but why kill yourself later if it's already on the stand with easy access. Guess it depends if your doing it yourself or paying someone.

Paying a shop to do the work...I decided to skip it and instead spend the funds on the metal tstat housing since thats a more worthy upgrade at this point. I know I currently have a coolant leak so I'm not going to wonder if the replacement engine does too, so I'm just going to have them do a new water pump, tstat housing & sensor along with removal and transfer of engine and mods.
