Default Top repair est $

I need to call a local shop; but what is a ball park to fix the glass part of the top?

It seems the cars I'm looking at in my budget, are in my budget because of that.

The 08 I'm looking at the dealer says the top needs to be glued back on the glass, the 05 looks like this (I'm assuming the same thing). But both say it doesn't leak (???) I've never owned one so I don't know.

The 05:

The 08:
Hard to tell in the pics, but maybe the pass side is just slightly pulled in??

Is it something I can do with contact cement/glue?

I can do some mechanical; just never attempted this before.

what ball park on popping the big dents?

Dealers not budging on $7777, 08, 130k, 1 key (so dealer to program add'l keys)

Thanks

It's a small used car lot; don't think they can/will; but I'll ask.

I would ask the seller to split the cost of a new top, 50/50.

I think the whole top has to be replaced.

The window can't be fixed independent of the top - all one unit essentially so you have to replace the top.

For what their asking I'd have them fix those dents.

Thanks, dealers not budging, so probably going to be a pass.

But just for ref, the top needs replacing every X years, what's a ball park price?

Still trying to decide on a Mustang convertible or an escape as my next used car.

is this the car with the white rallys on the hood? (you were linking to one previously in another thread)

the driver's side of that car look way too rough for the kind of coin in question. that is gonna get pricey, but quick with what I'm seeing. add to that, the repairs to the roof, and zero negotiation on the pricetag? hate to sound like a creep, but, walk.

as far as replacing the top every few years, there are a lot of variables involved with the lifespan of a convertible top.
