I haven't installed it yet. I just put it up there to see how it looked. I found it for sale locally on CL. I had to order a mounting hardware kit through AM, so I'm waiting on that.

I had them on my RX-7's back in the 80's. Not sure what the hardware is like now, but it was a pain to clean the back glass. However that was before the days of car wash's having the spot free rinse option which could help.

I personally like the look - reminds me of my younger days!

The hardware kit has terrible reviews, so we'll see how the quality is. The louvers themselves seem very well made.

Does it lift up to clean the glass? I'm not a fan of them but on yours it looks good. Must be the color. Is it plastic or aluminum and how heavy is it?

There are mounting brackets that stick to the glass and use an acorn nut in key places to anchor the louver. It can easily be removed for cleaning. I have the ABS plastic version made by MMD.

I've had them in the past on other vehicles. I've felt they were a pain to keep the glass clean and as they age they start to look pretty rough.

But, nice part is if you discover the same thing(s) you can just remove them and pretend they were never there.

The hardware kit should be in by Thursday or Friday. I can post step by step with photos if enough people are interested.
