Default K&N Filter

Stupid question-hey the last stang i had---had 5.0 badges on the fender, that was easy.. Anyway can i Put a K&N filter in w/o any reflash, this computer thing is freakin me out-- is it worth it-will i see any gain like back in tha day, or am i wasting my time and just wait till i get a C&L type with a Handheld tuner.[:@]

Yes, you can put an OE type K&N in w/o a reflash. You'l probably get a couple of HP. PM me, I have one almost new for sale (300 miles).

Save your money for a CAI and tuner.

The Guys at Excessive Motorsport in Manassas VA stated that the K&N CAI DOES NEED A Tune even though the web sites says otherwise. (I was Told that ANY CAI installed needs a tune or you are running the car very lean)

But As far as the Standard K&N Filter Replacement, I agree with Dave, "Save your money for a CAI and tuner"
