New to the forum and would appreciate feedback from anyone who’s had similar experience.

I ordered a MMD Styling Bar from American Muscle for my 2007 Mustang Vert V6.

Install of the brackets was straightforward. Huge gaps between the trim and bar with the angle of the bar way off.

AM sent a new bar received yesterday. Fit is still off. Photos attached.

Anyone install one specifically on a ‘07 V6 Vert and encounter the same issue?

 

Wow. It looks like the bar is mounted backwards. Did they do the brackets backwards? The bar should lean back a little bit and the picture looks like it is standing straight.

 

Exactly. The stance of the bar is off.
Bar installed correctly. Brackets appear to as well.
My hunch is there may be an ‘07 specific issue here.
Hoping someone has had the same issue and found a solution.

 

I was just getting ready to order one of them for my 07 from AM, just not sure which one. Looks like I'll have to do some more research.

 

A friend of mine has one on his 2007 but his is the CDC version. It fits perfectly though and to my knowledge there isn't anything different from 2005 (which another friend had the CDC on as well and it fit fine) to 2010.

 

CDC on my 2005 no issues with fit ordered from American Muscle years ago.

 

Try turning the bar 180 degrees and see if it fits any better.

I purchased the Styling Bar from CDC. Perfect fit! Problem solved!

 

You returned the MMD and went with the CDC? I see you went with the third brake light bar. Was it difficult to hook up? How much time did it take you? Looks good.
