For those with torch red stangs

RE: For those with torch red stangs
Dear Red3784,
I have had red cars before and learned that the color "red" oxidizes faster than any other color...
When red oxidizes, it looks cloudy and dull. The only way to get the bright color back is to have the car "buffed out" by a good body shop or detailer...
To prevent this from happening again, keep the car out of the sunlight and only drive at night...
If the air quality is poor where you live and the sun beats down directly on the car all day long, chances are that this condition will happen again and again...
Here is a picture of the last red car I owned but do not drive during the daylight hours very much...

yes. the big problem with red is fade but this can be prevented by waxing the car.
The reason it fades is because of no protection of the clear against the sun.
By waxing you are able to prevent this,
I totally stand by Zaino? Im sure you heard of it,
Search up on the net, it is amazing stuff.. top of the line and yields results.

Any car/color will fade if not properly cared for. Non-metallics and non-clearcoats are a bitch by nature. Black and red are the worst - but both are manageable. You just need to keep that baby polished and waxed on a more frequent basis. If you drive it to work, and don't park in a garage, then you should probably be waxing monthly (if not more by some peoples accounts). If you drive it to work in a live in a VERY sunny area, you might want to invest in nice outdoor (UV protection) cover. You may look overly **** to your coworkers, but it could save you a lot of work and grief down the road.

I have had several red cars over time (Red is one of my favorite colors!) .
Not had a fade problem with any of them... BUT - - I keep my cars CLEAN and WAXED.
Now... if you don't bother washing it, never wax it and leave it out in the driveway all the time.
It WILL noticably fade in about 4 years. but it would fade even if it were a white car if you didn't take care of it.

yeah but i don't know the name right now. my friend that painted my hood wants to put a UV protectant on mine. i'll call him in the a.m. and find out the name. i don't even know if its a polish or a spray on deal but i'll ask him.
