Default Traction Control

Although I do not plan on driving my car in the snow and ice, there may be a few times I don't have a choice. What I am wondering is the traction control automatic or do I need to push that little button to turn it on?

Read your manual...I don't know about 05 - 06's but traction control in my 01 sucks! I was up at Lake Tahoe and it snowed a couple of inches. The traction control in an 01 is always on uless you turn it off so I started up a hill with it on and could only do about 10 MPH with my *** end out at about 30 degrees, cars whizzing bye and I'm hardly getting anywhere. I reached down and turned "traction control" off and wah-la straightened out and came up to a safe speed right away. My 01 does very well in snow and heavy rain without traction control...I prefer to control the car myself. Your best bet is to find out how the car is going to handle under different road conditions so you've got no surprises. Find out what it does under hard acceleration and braking in rain and snow. I always tell people to find a nice large empty parking lot to see how it is going to react in snow or rain for that matter.
LOL
