i think the chrome around the taillights is 2 much, out of place with all the black, but as long as u like it thats all that matters

+3 on the chrome around the taillights the older cars had alot more chrome trim around the car. Therefore the trim around the taillights did not stand out as much. The car looks good other than that IMO.

HAHA.. I can see Daniel doin the Disco Dance in his Chair while he was typing that!

I like the car - - good retro theme going on!

I agree with the rest however - the chrome around the tail lights distracts from the Black/Blue theme and looks very out of place.

If you want to change the rear lights... try this

Prof, I bet those blacked-out taillight bezels would look awesome with the blacked-out rear taillight panel. Has anyone done that yet? I'd love to see some pix of it.

Thanks silver! I was going for a classic fastback look somewhere around 67-70. The tail light chrome and black spoilers are a common theme for those years so I thought it fit together nicely.
I had a feeling that's where you were going. You should paint the rear window louvers to match the body and I think the spoilers were more of a flat back. I watched Bullitt last night and you are getting fairly close, although he didn't have a spoiler or the rear window screen they are period. There was a chrome surround around the grill and the headlights didn't have the light covers. Now all you need to do is paint her green and you are ready to chase Dodge Chargers around San Francisco. 28hopup, go to http://ponybuilder.com. Under Accessories you will find the blacked-out taillight panel, but not the blacked-out bezels. You can create an image of whatever color stang you like. Click on the little picture of the rear of the car to enlarge it. It will give you an idea of what it will look like.
