Well they finally got my "smart moduale" installed today and all of a sudden I find some more problems. But turns out they actually fixed a couple more things besides the trunk light when they put the new "smart moduale" in and didn't realize it until I brought it right back in to ask why something was different with the passenger seatbelt warning. It used to beep and light up just as soon as the car was rolling...now it actually does what it should according to the manual. Car rolls and then a 1 to 2 minute delay before it starts beeping about the passenger seatbelt not being hooked in. My son has a bad habit of not putting his seatbelt on so heard and saw the seatbelt warning right away soon as i had the car rolling before this new smart moduale was put in. I just happened to have to take my son to work shortly after they put the smart moduale in and thats when I noticed it was not what I thought was "normal" for the Mustang. I then find when setting the alarm the headlights are NOT supposed to flash like they used to. So far thats all I've found that is now different but correct with the new smart moduale in. Funny it took finding I did have a trunk light that wasn't lit that led to all of this.

 

When I want to set my alarm i hit the button once and the lights blink and if I hit the button again my horn beeps..I thought the lights were suppose to blink once.???

Check your manual...only the turning lights are supposed to blink not the headlights. If on the second hit of the button your horn only honks once then its not set. It has to honk twice to be set/locked says the manual! My headlights and turning lights used to flash when hitting the lock/alarm button now just the turning lights do with the new smart moduale.
