Default Radio frequency

Just bought a 2005 Mustang here in Sweden, but I have one problem with the Shaker 500 stereo. Whenever i do a search, manually or automaticly - is searches only on odd frequency. Ex. 99.3, 99.5 and so on..

I don't know about you in the USA, but here in Sweden we have quite a few radiostations with an even number on the frequency, but I just can't get them. The autosearch will skip the 99.4 and that frequenc is the strongest where I live, and the manuell search will jump 0.2 steps at the time..

Is there a way to change this? I have tried to switch to RDS mode and back, but it just won't give me my "even number frequencys"..

Thank you...
Virr..

don't know what the problem could be. the radio should search for the strongest frequency regardless of the "number".

I will move this to the 05/06 section and see if someone there has had a similar problem or can offer some insight.

FM stations in the USA are only on the odd tenths (xx.1, xx.3, xx.5, xx.7, xx.9).

I suggest making a bunch of good MP3 CD's and skip listening to the radio. That's what I did.

Yeah - ditto on making 6 mps cd's. That will give well over 1000 songs or YOUR choice at your disposal. Otherwise you may have to put in an afermarket radio that tunes to even tenths if thats what they use over there.

I think they all end in an odd number here.

Only way you're gonna be able to get even number stations is if you replace the shaker with something that will pick them up...

sorry

I agree, you are gonna have to replace it with an aftermarket one from europe. I had the same problem when i moved into the US from Europe. I took my home stereo and the radio simply wouldn't work cause it skipped the odds.

this is stupid. I checked on my 500 and it's true, the damn thing only gets odd numbered stations.

We have radio stations which end in even numbers here and this dumbass stereo won't even tune them in.
