Hey guys trying to decide what color racing strips to put on my mustang once it gets here already collecting mods. Ha Ha

I was wondering if anyone has done red racing strips on a Black GT before? the interior on my GT is Red so i thought maybe red strips would set off the interior but at the same time I’m worried it would look tacky.

input would be great.

 

I'm also thinking about red stripes (but thinking about going with the "stripe 3" scenario from this page)

Then again, I'm also thinking .. Screaming Yellow stripe as well, just can't decide (Both would look incredible)

I'm running black on black on black so any stripe would look good... I couldl then do the katzkin and get yellow accented seats

I like white as my first choice and the mineral grey as no. 2

 

I also have the black paint and red pleather and am playing with racing stripe ideas. I think a deep deep red would look good

 

I have a Black GT and if I did stripes I would go with shadow stripes, maybe a dark purple that you could only see when the sun hit it just right.

 

Using that stripe tool I think red would be a little overwhelming. White would be the normal way to go but personally I liked the silver. With the Stripe 3 wide option.
Of course you should probably try to get to as many Mustang shows as possible to see the color in person. Our monitors may not all show the correct color! It would be a drag to have them painted for over $1000 and then not like them!
