Default Ford Racing Performance Parts Upgrades

I recently bought a 2006 Mustang GT in Vista Blue and immediately placed an order for two of the upgrade kits offered thru the FRPP catalog (handling pack, part number M-2005-FR3 and the drag pack, part number M-2005-FR2). I'm now hearing from a friend that I may not like driving the vehicle as much after installing the kits because the suspension will be 'too stiff' (even though the official FRPP literature states the kits maintains the factory driveability). Does anyone have any experience with these kits, and if so would you like to offer an opinion?

Default RE: Ford Racing Performance Parts Upgrades

Perhaps the ride quality your friend is speaking of was on a vehicle that had springs only and not a shock change. I have ridden in one that had the Ebiach Pro kit, and to be quite honest, after about 50 miles I was tired of riding in it. I would hope for the jack they are charging that the Ford kit would not be that way since it comes with new shocks and struts. The aftermarket kits ride good if you throw some D-SPecs or QA1s on at the same time. Ebiach has also released shocks/struts that go with their spring kits but I do not know of anyone that has tired them yet.
