Default frozen window fix!

i'v been having the problem quite seriously , most likely more than others becuaes of where i live and where my hosue is... but anyway

i went to pep boys last night to pick up another ice scraper with one of those broom things, and found "windshield de-ice spray"

cost my 4 bux, i just spray it on the windows and on the sides (where the window meets the car) and vwal-ah! (sp?) door opens.

Won't harm the paint or the rubber?

Will it melt the ice in your nose too?

Thanks for the idea! And don't nobody go putting hot water on your Mustang's glass to melt ice off it.... Only Stu Piddiot is doing that!

LOL...watched a guy crack his windshield the other day doing that. It had just snowed the night before and was in the 5-8 degree range. I guess he thought he could de-ice his windshield by pouring boiling water on it. All he got was a big ole crack. In the words of Carlos Mencia...De De De.

I may have to get me some of that just in case, just make sure you don't leave it in the car??? oops

Something else for us people that have to deal with snow.

I have one of these for my old car they are great because you push the snow off rather than brushing it towards you. Also nice and soft so it won't scratch the paint.

Once again, your posts are making me thankful that I live in California. The worst we ever get is a little bit of frost overnight (for cars that sit outside, which mine doesn't). Half a gallon of water in the 80-90 degree range clears all windows with no danger of cracking. I've done that twice with my car this week when it had to sit out while other stuff was in it's place in the garage. It's back where it belongs now.

Ha, funny thing is, I had the same idea today, while walking down the isle at Wally World. I saw the de-icer spray and thought, Hey, if I some of this stuff, in my truck (smart arin't I) then if I have the problem, Bingo, pop the trunk, spray the window and go. Says right on the can, will not harm paint! Great minds think alike![:-]
