i'm looking for a tint, whats the best kind of tint in yalls opinion and my father keeps telling me its dangerous to have a tint, something about not being able to see. idk can anyone explain this?

 

Well, I'll say that tint definitely makes it a bit tougher to see at night (but it's nothing major). Since the legal limit in most states is 30%, I went with 20% which is just slightly darker. Any more and the cops will be able to tell it's not legal. I also prefer the semi-metallized tint as I don't like the reflective look;

 

my dad was saying something about the sun hitting the tint and it being impossible to see, anyone experience something like this?

 

oh, and its only happened in his chevelle which he did the tints himself.

 

thats probably why he couldnt see, get it done professional and it will be good. My state regulation is 35% so i went with 30 and its ok enough in the day and unless your right up on my car you cant see inside at night. 20% does make it slightly harder to back up but its not tooo bad, but 20 also looks better too

Besides the Mustang...I have a Yukon, had 20 all around for years, you get used to it. BTW...my state is 35 too...never had an issue, even whn pulled over for speeding or in an accident (not with the Mustang!)

 

Ive got 5% all the way around...The only trouble I have is at night while backing. But, like someone said...you get used to it..
