Important! Back Badge
This morning I had a real shock.
Someone had jimmied the Trunk GT badge off (including a small scratch under the adhesive).
It's only held on there by strong adhesive.

Needless to say I was VERY angry and of course vandalism isn't covered in the warranty. They didn't have any more Badges in stock, so I had to order one. They're about 33 bucks, not counting labor for installation. The dealership also said that the GT's are popular and I'm not the only one that reported their emblem/badge stolen.
I filed a report with the Police and everything, but it looks like I'm SOL.
I'm down in GA, anyone else heard about this happening?

Damn, I've heard of people ripping off the chrome cats from the hood of Jags, but to peel off an emblem like that. Cold.
Did they scratch your paint where it will show when you replace the emblem?

had that happen to my '03, they pried the "GT" off the trunk and left deep gouges from a screwdriver or something. [:@]
I wouldn't be paying anyone to install that for you when you get the new badge. You should do it yourself becuase can't get it wrong even if you try. Just peel the backing off the adhesive and put the pins in the holes. Press on and you are done.
You can clean all that goo off of there with "goo gone". It won't harm your paint.

had something similar happen on my street, it was like 5 cars that got hit, my mom's Benz kompressor, they took off the Kompressor sign, each letter is individual they did it with a screw driver, so there were deep gouges for every letter taken off.
They ripped off my brother's 3.2 sign off of his Audi TT, and they hit up a few other audi's down my street. Luckily mine hasnt been tampered with yet. Although i have a few paint chips here and there on my back bumper :/

Ah, the joys of only owning a V6, my badge in't worth going after (sorry mate, I feel your pain)
Glad they haven't gotten to Marietta (yet)
Why not go with an aftermarket rather than a "dealer markup"?
