Default lol....

prologue: the story that i am about to tell is definitly not saying that a stock v6 is possibly faster than a gt

so today i was driving with my little brother (10 years old) and he is asking about the differences between the v6 and the gt, so as i was explaining to him, a gt pulls up right beside me at a stop light, comming at like 50 and hitting his breaks just a few meter before the stop. the car is right off the lot, still having the temporary paper plates on and everything, and inside there is this guy who thinks he is the sh*t, sunglasses at 9pm with this chick beside him. he looks at me and points forward, ovbiously wanting to race, so knowing that i am going to lose i dont even go into overdrive and i tell my brother that i am only doing this to show him the differences between my v6 and the gt. so light turns green, i floor it and go at the normal speed a v6 would go, and this guy's gt makes this horrendous sound like he is over reving really really baddly, not the muscle sound, but the "i am killing my car" sound, and only moves a few feet then clunks while going into gear and starts to move quite slowly (still making a bad noise). for a minute i dont see him, then at the next light (which is reasonably far away because we are on the outskirts of the city) he pulls beside me at a nice granny speed and has the most dumb look on his face...lol

i love people like that

moral of the story: being overly cocky gets you no where
moral of the story #2: a manual gt (or any sports car) is pointless if you don't know how to drive it

he might have been spinning. That's what happens when you stomp on a V8 and you are not used to it. The rev limiter won't let him get to "I'm killing my car" stage.

i'll take my auto in a street race anyday over a stick car. most of these guys like that have no clue how to shift or launch. even though the stick car is faster.. it's only faster in the hands of an experienced driver. i'm glad you made him look stupid infront of his girl. the look on his face after a V6 smoked him had to be classic!!
