i guess you guys have never had experience with any race fiberglass. it sucks! i spent 2 weeks getting the panels on my roadster to resemble a car (that body cost me $3000!!). so when i got the hood from rk i just couldn't believe how close it fit with no mods. when you are dealing with f/glass you just have to expect it won't fit at first and will require massaging for proper fitting. the rk hood could be about 1/8-1/4" longer to make it all line up perfect but i tell you i'm the only one who ever notices it. the sides(fender to hood gap) are perfect and for $219 i can deal with that. i would not pay over $350 for this hood though just because it's not any lighter than the factory aluminum hood. if they are going to charge 700-800 bucks for a hood then make that sucker featherlight so we can get something besides looks for that money!!

If you want to see how this hood (or the saleen hood) would look on your color car, use the Ponybuilder..http://www.ponybuilder.com/MustangGT_coupe.html

My shop said the fit and finish was the best they have seen. I have no problems. You will need to use hood pins. I used Muroso.

Or why not pay for a cdc shaker and have it go straight to the intake....doesn't have to be a functional ramair or anything, just to keep the heat off.
