Default Muffler Question???

As most of you all know I have had some problems with my Stang in the past. Well thank goodness it seems that everything is fine now. Now the question, I want to get some mufflers, to get that deep sound that Mustangs have had in the past. The question is what kind...I have seen all kinds of threads, but don't really understand the difference in each one of them. I have heard flowmaster, etc etc. Well I have been looking at some mufflers made by IMCO, are these any good???? Does anyone have these on there Stangs??? I did the sound check on the web site and like the way they sound, but do they sound that way on the car???? Please help. My husband says he likes the flowmasters, but I am not sure which ones I like the best. I just want a deep sound but not to loud but louder than the stock mufflers on it now. I have been waiting on starting any mods, now I am ready.

Thanks everyone.

Default RE: Muffler Question???

I am so glad your car is fixed. finally. I recently just did my mufflers. I got the flowmasters put on and they were so loud inside the car but great sounding outside. My husband liked them, I didn't. I drive the car every day. I like the low rumble with some performance. So I took it back and had them change it to the magnaflows. I love it! It is not stock sounding but not as loud as the flowmasters. And it sounds awesome. So that was my little escapade I had last week.

Thanks girliemustang...I am glad it is finally fixed also. Thanks so much for the input on the mufflers. My husband likes the flowmasters also, but I am like you I am scared they may be a little to loud for me also. I haven't heard andy magnaflows but that is another one to explorer. Thanks again.

I have the Magnaflows on as well & think they sound good. Corsa also makes an axle back that sounds very quiet until you put your foot in it. Both of these also have the double walled tips which gives them a very nice finished look from the back.

Good luck shopping.
