Default Suspension Packages

Anyone used the Ford Racing Performance Parts or Saleen suspension packages? Anyone have any suggestions for suspension...I previously owned a modified WRX and would like to help the Stang navigate the corners like a true sports car...

I can't say anything about the Ford Racing kit except that I am sure it is quality parts. Tha Saleen kit is a pretty awesome kit for the price. It will lower your stang about 1.3" inches with great handling and desent ride quality. From what I understand the kit is produced by Tokico. All of our customers have reported no problems with install and great handling stang.

Do you know the exact specs on the Saleen parts? does it include the front strut tops for a basic front swap installation?
Any other suggestions for sway bars, etc.

The Saleen kit does NOT use the new D-spec Tokicos. The kit includes the front struts and rear shocks, springs and front sway bar.
It does not come with the strut mount plates. You must use the org. ones on the car.... no problem. We sell the kit for $745.00 with
free shipping right now. Mark123- That is was a good price you paid for your setup and you should love it. Good Luck and happy turning!

Ok, I know very little about setting up a suspension system. Would my best bet be to go with an all together system like the Ford Racing or Saleen kit? I do want about an inch drop in ride height, but I"m mostly interested in getting this beast to handle like a figure skater[8D]. What, in your opinion, will yield the best improvements to the new GT's cornering capabilities? As I said, I"m ready to just go with an all in one kit to avoid any oversights as I know nothing about how to adjust camber and alignment and so forth. Any thoughts or suggestions? (And yes, I have read the sticky thread on lowering your mustang.......the experts on that thread were talking Greek as far as I"m concerned. lol)

Here's the first reported install of the FRPP kit that I've seen:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=44286

I've been looking out for reviews of this ever since the Ford Racing Handling Pack was announced last year - personally this is my favorite and probably what I'll end up installing in a few months. Seems a bit more complete than the Saleen pack as you get the Strut Tower Brace as well as front and rear sway bars.

One question I have is what would I expect to pay a dealer or specialist shop to install a complete kit?

It will depend on the shop or dealership. I had the shop that is installing my Saleen charger quote me a install charge of 350 for a complete suspension kit install. But, I am doing a good bit of business with them right now, and I may be getting a discount. (OR, maybe I'm getting screwed........has anyone paid cheaper for a complete suspension install?)

I've heard several quotes of $200 just for the front/back springs, so it sounds like $350 for the entire kit is reasonable. Of course someone on this board also said they had a shop put the springs on for $50 so that's another point of reference for you.

I am also interested in the FRPP kit...and I know what you mean Hiboost - I'd like the Pony to handle the turns better....I was behind a WRX on the track for some twisties last time out until I figured out the lines...then I took him entering the straightaway [:-]
