Why don't any of you guys like armor all? My family has been using amor all on all of our cars and I thought it was pretty good. I have never tried anything else cause I thought it was the best. Are the other cleaners that much better? How are they different from amor all? I thought that the residue that amor all left behind was good since it reflected a lot of the sun's rays and kept the dash from drying out.
I used Armor All for many years. While it does leave a nice shine, it also seems to leave a slimy residue that acts like a dirt magnet. So---I decided to try something different in the new 'stang. And the McGuiers seems to work fine! It doesn't leave a shiny finish, but it doesn't leave a slimy residue either. It's just CLEAN...and so far, I'm liking it. Oh, you can use it on the dash gauges, chrome vents, etc. etc. So, I consider that more versatile than Armor All, too! Pretty sure the McGuiers claims UV protection, too.

Because Armor All leaves the surface shiny, and as the last poster said, it seems to attract more dirt, causing you to add more Armor All and suddenly you're in an endless cycle.

I use a slightly damp micro-fiber towel, works great, might add some diluted cleaner for something stubborn like soda, or coffee spills. (I hate when my wife drives the car)

Ditto on the Mequires. If you let a kid ride in the car, tie them up with duct tape.

I use nothing but warm water. It cleans everything. I guess my cars don't get real dirty though.
