Default What's it worth? 4.6 premium convert

Our dealer has an 05 premium gt convertible on their lot, with 2500 miles. It was the dealers car. The sticker is currently 32,600, but I imagine they would come down. It is a manual, with the interior upgrade package, leather trim seats.

What type of discount do you think 2500 miles and the fact it's an 05 are worth? Think 25k, 26k... I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.

Nothing under 30K, the car new is about 37-38k. You might be able to get the car for around 31K

I have the same car save for the shaker sound system, and I paid $30K + TT&L. Offer them $25 and see where they take you.

Hey Flying: I went to Kelly Blue book and looked it up. I had to guess on some of the options, and location (no city or state in profile), but retail was $34,345. If you live in a climate where snow is typical for this time of year. then you may have some room to negotiate. But $25K-26K might not be very realistic. But hey what's the worst they can do to you is say "no deal, try again."

Good luck.............................

For reference. I do live in a "Winter" state, and I just bought my 06, with 0 miles, for $25.8K. No leather.

Though I did have to promise the woman I'd bear her first child. [:'(]

It is indeed a GT. I was pretty happy with the deal at the time but after reading a lot of posts here, I've even more so. I had to look around quite a while to find it. I made the deal at Towne Ford in Racine but they had to go all the way to Lodi to make the trade. They gave up their black 06 GT Convertible to get it.

Took pictures this weekend. (Old fashioned film kinda way.) Should get something posted tonight.

So where in Packerland are you? I actually live in Wind Lake. Just south of Muskego a ways.

They came down to 30k +TTL, but that seems to be their best price. It is an 05 GT convertible w/ 2000 miles. I would think that is worht more of a discount. It is stickers at 32,6k. What do you guys think? I want it, but I could settle for the V6. btw, what do you think of the V6?

I had wished I could get some type of discount on my 06 GT Coupe, but they weren't budging. It was $29,500, fully loaded. Final price, with GAP Coverage, Tax, and so on was something like $32k+ I initially was going to order one so I'd be in the $25k range, but I don't think I had the patience to wait that long... Plus I fell for the one that they had in the lot, and of course it was fully loaded, just ones luck...

Haha, I test drove the V6 and it's not that bad of a car. Pretty much the same as the GT minus some exterior and Engine. It is all up to you. Though if you buy an 06 V6 Convertible it's going to be around the same price as the 05 GT Convertible you've been looking at. So you might as well bite the bullet and go with the GT.

Just my opinion, hope that helps,
Menace.

For what it's worth, the 06 GT Convertible my dealer traded to get my car had a sticker of $35.6K. $30K sounds quasi-reasonable if it's loaded. This one was. I would think he should still come down about $2K more. Kind of depends where you are and what time of month it is. (Catch them toward the end of it and they seem more more willing to dicker to hit their numbers.)

As far as GT vs. V6? I guess my purchase speaks for itself. My dealer had 5 times as many 6's to pick from. And the Pony package they've got now really dresses them up, but I still went with the V8. I thought the exhaust note was much more satisfying and the acceleration, well, it was hands down. I ponied up the extra cash. (Pun intended)
