Default 06 seat belt question

I was wondering if anyone has noticed that the seat belt is scraping the rear panel when being released. My wife is 5'3" and cannot reach back very far and it seems that the metal buckle scrapes the rear side panel when released. In my older Mustang I traded in for the 06 it had the thing at the top of the seat that would prevent this from happening. Please let me know if anyone else is having the same problems, Thanks

There is a strap at the bottom of the side of your seat. it has a magnetic snap, and it holds the belt so it doesn't go flying all the way into the back seat.

I'm 6'1" and I can't reach straight back and grab it or else I pull something in my shoulder. Probably doesn't help that I like to sit up straight. I have to lean towards the shifter in order to grab it.

A bracket could be easily machined out of aluminum that would slide over the headrest posts and provide a slotted loop over the shoulder that would hold the belt. I'm kind of amazed none of the shops are making these.

there are free seat belt extenders available from Ford.

I found the strap at the bottom of the seat was good enough for me.

Strap at the bottom of the seat? I'll have to check that out, I don't recall ever recognizing that! Hehe, though that would be interesting! I'm 6' and I twist and turn pretty easily so I never really had an issue with grabbing the seat belt. Though if this strap at the side of the seat is more convienent I'll probably use that!

Thanks in advance,
Menace.

Yes, isn't it easier to just drop your left hand down and grab the belt?
Just wish Ford would design the receiver part a little higher instead of burying it way down there on the right side next to the console. When wearing a jacket it's hard to find it!

Don't feel bad everybody was asking the same question when the 05's came out.
