Default Tire diameter question,,,,,,,

How close to the same size do fronts and rears have to be, and can aspect ratios be mixed to provide the proper size for a set of chrome bullit 18 inch rims, 9 inch wide front, 10 inch in back? Am concerned about computor issues as well as handling.

ORIGINAL: gregsdart

I've got 18 x 9's in the front with 19 x 10's in the rear but maintained as close as possible to the original tire height to avoid speedometer issues (easy recal of computer would fix it though). Handling is about the same with a few differnces: One is the road noise is louder because of the shorter sidewall heigth of the new tires, the other is the amount of rear wheel hop during spinouts caused by the better grip with the road (nothing that a set of new steed billet traction bars won't fix which is next on my mod list along with a complete suspension/handling/lowering kit).

Good Luck
