MyColor- Geek Needed1!!!
okay, i'm a geek as well but i dont know all that much about lighting and whatnot, so i need some help from someone who knows more than me. Is there any way to get the center radio/buttons to light up in the same sequence as the mycolor? its irritating seeing red gages and green radio stuff/buttons
Actually, I wonder if the instrument cluster outputs the color setting on the MS-CAN. If it did, then potentially after market gadgets could copy the color.
For people not familiar with CAN: MS-CAN is the medium speed controller area network. It lets devices in the car talk to each other like computers on a network.

change your guages to green. Now they match!

I haven't seen the insides of the radio, so this is just an idea. If you were good with electronics and soldering, you could change the LEDs used for the buttons to red LEDs.
Yeah, it's just a matter of changing bulbs or LEDs. The radio will most likely use the micro LEDs like the ones sold on eBay for cell phones. The buttons might use ordinary small LEDs that might be available at Radio Shack or online. In either case you would need to know how to do fine soldering. If they're bulbs your out of luck 'cos then the pigmentation is in the button itself, so you couldn't change the color, which there are no bulbs for anyway. The only way to change bulb colors is to dip them in translucent model paint, but it melts away within months. There are colored bulbs available down to size 74 which is often used in backlighting instruments and auto shifters, but most buttons use a much smaller bulb that's about half the size of a grain of rice.
