Default PowerShifting vs Normal Shifting

I was wondering which type of shifting will keep up with ur speed/ and horsepower, ive only tried normal shifting, my car is completely stock, but when some people talk about power shifting i wonder if the car can accelerate faster or somthing. ??

Default RE: PowerShifting vs Normal Shifting

Power shifting is a termed used when the throttle is not closed through the durration of the shift. This technique is pretty rough on the drive-line and not recominded for every day practice. The most common reason to use this technique would be trying to set the fastest time possible while at the track. It can also be called a no-lift-shift, which is more commonly used by the import crowd.
