Default Sunroof

Hi!

My first post. I couldn't find anything after seaching so I thought that I'd ask.

I was wondering if anyone has investigated or knows of a thread on sunroof conversions for the 05/06 coupes.

I just bought a gray 05 GT and would like to consider one.

Thanks,

There are two companies that make electric sunroofs for 05 mustangs. My husband and I each have the inalpha sunroof which slides back inside the roof, or vents up.

The other company is webasco which makes more of a whaletail that opens out.

Any Sunroof shop should be able to get either for you.
We both love ours. they are snug and quiet. NO complaints.

How much for the parts and install? Also do you have any problems when it rains?

$1700 (installed) for the first, I talked him down to $1500 for the second.
ABSOLUTELY NO LEAKS !! Ever. Carwashes, hand washes with lot of rinse, downpours, even some small hail. never a leak. Shuts tighter than the stock windows on the doors. shuts automatically when you turn off the key. No complaints.

05s are only 125 lbs heavier, but i guess they do cost about 4k more. they also dont look as good as the coupe in my opinion

My sister had an aftermarket sunroof put in her 99-04 version Stang. They are really nice, and when you have all of the windows and the sunroof open, it feels like a vert.

In my opinion a coupe with a sunroof does not look as nice as a convertible.
To each his own.....
