RE: opinion on getting headers
yes there is a big difference. l/t's will gain about 20hp and 20ft.lbs. of torque throughout the rpm range. short headers do very little since the stock manifolds flow so well. you will notice a huge difference with l/t headers. the best i've seen from any s/t header is about 5hp or so. which could have been the variance from one dyno pull to another. spend the extra $100 for the l/t you wont regret it.

I ordered hooker long tubes from LMPerformance and when I get them I'll let you know the difficulty level of installing them. i got the ceramic coated ones, and lmperformance said that they send them to Jet-Hot to get them coated and then ship to me, but I figure they will still discolor since it probably gets REAL hot right there

RE: opinion on getting headers
if you get the jet hot or hpc coating they will not discolor one but. i had a set of jet hot coated headers on my roadster for 6years and they didn't turn color at all. it had very high exhaust temps also due to 15:1 comp. and a lean a/f alcohol setup.

Spyder7724 can you get those without voiding the warranty? I want them also. Though it will take a long time to save for them I just don't know if the service manager will go for that. 20 more horses would be great to have. I can't personally afford a super
charger. i want about twenty more horses then I should be satisified.......Yeah right.
