Default SHR Decklid Panel for 2010+

Just pre-ordered the SHR Decklid Blackout Panel for the 2010+. Went with this based on appearance and the fact that it does not require removal of the faux gas cap. Very similar to the 05-09 one they make. That's a big plus for me.

Only downside: Won't ship until the first quarter of 2011

By pre-ordering, the price is supposed to be much cheaper ($109). Don't know what the price will increase to in the future but what the hell. I want it!

Part can be viewed/ordered here.

Not trying to bust your cohones, but that thing looks kinda bulky. I'd like it better if it were smooth and thinner. I'm not a fan of the honeycomb stuff, or the "ribbed" look on some others I've seen. Honeycombs are for breakfast, and ribs are for rubbers. lol

If you spent about $40 bucks more you could probably get a body shop to flat black your decklid and could have it now...just sayin...that's what I'm going to do to replace the magnetic piece I have. The magnet is decent, but it's time to do it right.

Also, off topic, but those tail light bezels in that picture...WTF?

I like the way it flattens out the lip on the decklid myself. To each his own. Appreciate all opinions.

Per SHR's site, those are someone else's bezels on there to test. They are working on their own.

Ah, I see that now about the tail light bezels...maybe that's what is throwing my eye off. Maybe the finished product on the bezels will be cleaner. They kind of look like a Playskool truck blew up on the way to Toys-R-Us.

It's all good though. If you like it, rock it. That's what matters. No harm in that! One thing is for certain - The decklid on the 2010+ definitely needs some kind of panel like that to spruce it up a bit.

I hope they can make the bezels really small so they just fill in the line around the individual lamps.

I saw SHR's car at Mustang Week and had to pre order also. They have some nice gas doors for 10+ also. The tail lite surrounds would be cleaner looking if thinner.
