Lowered, FINALLY!
Thanks again.
i forgot to mention i just put some Continental Extreme Contacts DW on my car (255/40) and they lose traction a lot easier than the Pirellis that came with the car. im not a fan of the tires squealing every time i leave a stoplight in a less than grandma like fashion, or when i brake slightly harder than normal :/

There's a certain amount of 'heft' built into the steering of a RWD car with a V8 up front!
Try driving a Camaro and you can add 'bump steer' to the feeling of being disconnected ;-)
PS: I like your car....I'm partial to it since mine is a 2010 GT with spoiler delete :-)
I find that the stock all season Pirellis on 19" factory rims have pretty fantastic traction even in wet weather...maybe the best I've experienced on any V8 Mustang.
-Don't get me started on Continental tires; I think it was the extreme contacts that I had on my CTS and returned after driving them for a week due to vibration and flat spots. The Bridgestones I installed as a replacement (or even the Goodyears that were previously on the car) were a big improvement.

Really? What factory cars have you driven that feel more "connected"?

I loved my stock Pirelli Summer tires, it seemed like they had an endless supply of grip. they were just much too expensive, considering i replace my tires about twice a year. i got the extreme contacts as an "experiment" to see if there wasnt much of a difference between it and the more expensive pirelli/Michelin crowd (My dad is testing the Hankook ventus on his car now)... unfortunately i can already tell that there is a difference, but i will save my final call for my track day in 4 weeks.
If you just got the Continentals I think they have a 30 day trial deal where you can return them...I took full advantage of that!!
You kind of made my point with your steering comparisons...a BMW or especially a Porsche (with COMPLETELY different driving characteristics due to engine location) isn't going to feel like a RWD V8 loaded car IMO. My wife's Mini Cooper has very good steering feel...along with ample doses of torque steer due to FWD. What I'm trying to say, is for what KIND of car the Mustang is the steering is very good. You're not going to get much better feel out of other V8 coupes regardless of price IMHO...
How did the lowering affect your ride quality?? I was looking at the exact spring shock setup for mine. Did you only do the springs and shocks or any other mods (adj panhard bar, etc)?

My ride quality is still fantastic, depending on where i set the Konis. on full soft it rides almost just like stock, and on mediumish setting the car is a bit more communicative of what i am driving over. my only other mods are sam strano sway bars.

with these wheels it looked like i couldnt go much wider, because i ordered the tires before i was lowered. when i get new tires, probably by the end of december, i will more than likely go wider then.
