I heard that all you have to do is disconnect the battery with new wheels without tmps sensors & be atleast 100ft from the old rims with the tpms sensors, and the light will only come on for a second at start up. I really dont want to spend the extra money to get them, i'd rather order my UDP's instead

i beleive the light will stay on all the time. i ordered my sensor and stem kit off ebay for $150. i didn't need a training tool or anything, the new sensors just worked once the wheels were on.

I've had my battery disconnected for a while while I was away from the wheels, drove about 5 miles and the light came right back on.

TPMS sensors are radio devices. If the car doesn't detect a signal, the light is on.

I drove around for months without the sensors. Was always fun when I'd be close to another 2010 Mustang or other Ford with the same sensors that still had the sensors in the wheels, my light would go off, and then once I got away from that car, my light would come back on.

what offset did you get? I see they also have a machined/black finish as well. Might be more my speed for my Grabber Orange.

tpms transfer is so easy!! any shop can do it! you just need a new valve stem, but thats cheap. all you do is take out the screw that connects the valve stem to the tpms which removes the tpms, then pull the valve stem out, and put a new one on. the place i got mine done at gave me new stems for free. transferring tires and tpms to new wheels and having them mounted and balanced was $25 per tire...
