autogeek is the best place to start and get advice from.. They even have a hot line for all your questions, but my personal preference is the P21S kit from them its about $80 but worth every penny. I used this kit last year wicked easy wax to apply and remove and results come out great every time.. this year money is a little tight so im trying Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System.. And this will also be the first year i am using a DA polisher i usually do everything by hand but i want to be able to remove serious swirl marks and water spots.

I use Meguiar's gold class, then Meguiar's show car glaze polish, then Mother's pure carnuba wax

Also use Mother's Back to Black

Not as high end as some of the others, but I like the result

I used it on 2 different cars, and the effect lasted a long time. The more recent one that I remember better was an 01 Cobra with a replacement black hood, and the shades were noticeable different from the hood to the rest of the car. I used the black box on the entire car and it did a great job of blending the car together, you couldn't tell the difference after that. I had the car almost 3 years after that and I never had to black box it or treat it in any way again to make the blacks match, even though it was washed and waxed regularly. I was very happy with the results...
