Default Roush side splitters install?

Hey guys I have a 2011 gt with the factory rocker panels. I was thinking about adding the roush side splitters. I was hoping who ever installed these can tell me how the install went? Based on how it seems to me they just slide up into the factory rocker panels and you use the included push pins and double sided tape to install. But I was hoping to find out definatly answer on how it works.

You're correct. You have to drill a couple of holes for the push pins but it's super easy to do. Make sure to clean your stock rocker panels well to insure the 3m tape holds good. Overal very easy install. Ideally you'd like to have a friend assist as it helps get them lined up just right but you can do them yourself.

I actually crashed my 2011 over the winter and ordered parts and fixed it. But it turns out I screwed up the rocker panels too but didnt know so I have to go to Ford and order new ones. So I was going to install the roush side splitters onto the new rocker panels. Then install the new rocker panels with roush side splitters (already on) onto the car. Do you think this would be an easy install or do one at a time?

Any time you use that double stick tape get some 3M adhesion improver that stuff really makes a difference makes the tape stick even better. Body paint shops carry it.

I don't see why you couldn't do them while the rockers are off the car. You'll know when you look at it. The splitters have recesses for part of the rocker that you just have to line up with it. That body line is the same when the rockers are off or on. Check out the install instructions on the Roush website. You'll see what I mean.

I just finished installing these. I pulled the rocker panels off, installed the splitters and than installed the Splitter/Rocker combination on the car. Took me less than 45 minutes.

@brimy311 I got a couple of questions.
1. when you pulled the factory rocker panels off the car besides the screws in the wheel well area and the push pins underneath how do you remove the top car off the car? just pull?
2. when you have to drill the holes thru the splitter and the factory rocker panel, do those holes line up with holes that are already underneath the car? if so if I drill the holes when the combo is off the car I can install it with the push pins n b done with the drill?
