I posted this earlier today, but I'll post it here for you too. When you go wherever you go to get your windows tinted, say you want "legal" and they'll know exactly what the limit is and then you're on your way. Here's mine! On the receipt is says 35%, on my dad's tint measurer it says 29% which is the actual legal limit here in GA. Just check out mine
I'm using my iPhone 4S (8MP) and I focused it to different areas to get the right color.
All windows including the rear
Sun behind me
Sun in front of me
Angled
Looking in (no, front window is NOT tinted) *excuse the horrible tree debris*
Now here's just some kinda "show off" pics but look at the tint in everyday conditions
And here's what it looked like the first day. You can see right through. Ew.

Remember, the "legal" tint specified byb the state is the COMBINED tint from the existing windows and the applied tint film. 35% film added to the factory tinted glass comes out just below 30%. Texas changed their tint law to 25% (from 35%) because the 35% tint file people were applying often fell afoul of the max tint allowed.
My tint guy said he'd apply anything I wanted, but that when you get your annual safety inspection, they check the tint on the side windows, and if it's illegal, they won't pass your car. On top of that, you're driving a Mustang. Don't bother looking for a factory installed cop magnet, because you're driving it.

The legal here in NC is 35%. I went with the 20%. I pulled up to a Bojangles yesterday with about 10 cops eating breakfast inside. A few of them waved as I went through the drive-through lol. Here is a pic of my 20% on black car.
