Gloss rims are easier to keep clean. I went with gloss black:

Matte wheels have a terrible habit of blending into the rubber of the tire.
Glossy gives it a chance to stand out, as well as match the finish on your paint (Clear coat)

Gloss is VERY hard to keep looking clean.
I would have some powder coated and do a semi gloss.

Not matte but not gloss.
It's the best of both worlds.

False... gloss is not easier to keep clean.
It shows every single mishap of dirt.

With matte... the dirt, etc, makes it easier for them to look normal until you get a crapload of dirt on them.

I have owned BOTH. BOTH look great but for keeping a clean look gloss is the hardest.
Many people refer to a textured black or semi gloss as matte but they aren't.
Matte is easier than gloss to keep clean but just about the same as a semi-gloss which looks a tad bit less
duller in shine than matte.

The best is actually a textured black or semi gloss powder coat as far as keeping clean.

The charcoal wheels on the my MCA Mustang are the easiest rims I have owned to keep clean.

I think gloss looks better, but it's harder to keep clean. If you let them get dirty enough, they start to look almost matte, which is how mine look right now since it's been raining for like a week straight.

I had to choose between gloss and matte for my wheels, and I chose gloss. I'm glad that I did.

The though that gloss rims are easier to keep clean is Bullsh!t...

Especially in the case of brake dust, Gloss rims start looking dirty almost immediately.

Matte finish look almost the same with brake dust and cleaning them is just as easy as Gloss (if it's a quality finish). Matte finish will also take wheel wax to help shed dirt and dust.

Some folks get a crap finish that has too much texture, but once theyre whiped off, they stay cleaner looking longer as well... There's matte and there's textured / eggshell finish. Both stay cleaner looking longer than gloss.

And a quality matte finish is powder coated just like a lot of gloss... It's no less durable long term.

I'd go with gloss, I have textured black and although they're great they are a tad bit too dark. Gloss has a pop to them.
